JMPR, INC. RECEIVES GOLD PR/MARKETING AWARD AT INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOTIVE MEDIA CONFERENCE

Meguiar's Award Wins for Publicity Category

Woodland Hills, Calif., (December 2003) – For the second consecutive year, JMPR Public Relations, Inc. has been honored with the International Automotive Media Conference's (IAMC) Gold Award for excellence at the 2003 IAMC Awards Banquet, hosted at Sardi's in New York City. The award was presented to JMPR in the PR/Marketing Campaign Category for its successful public relations efforts promoting the 2003 Meguiar's Award honoring the "Collector Car Hobby's Person of the Year."

JMPR's public relations campaign for the Meguiar's Award, created by the Meguiar's family and JMPR nine years ago, is the first national award to honor a person for their contributions to the collector car hobby. The strategy was to create an annual award that would gather national media coverage from both automotive and general press, and establish goodwill with the automotive media.

In nine years, the event has grown from 100 attendees at the Petersen Automotive Museum to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the former home of the Oscars, where 3,500 guests experienced the award presentation as it was taped for national broadcast.

JMPR has secured more than 30 million media impressions specifically for the Meguiar's Award in the past 9 years, including feature stories in national outlets such as the Associated Press wire service, USA Today, Motor Trend and Popular Mechanics, and local outlets including the Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register and Ventura County Star.

"We are honored to accept the IAMC Gold PR/Marketing Award, which is a testament to the creativity, enthusiasm and hard work on the part of our team of public relations professionals," says Joseph Molina, president of JMPR, Inc. "We'd also like to thank Barry Meguiar and his staff at Meguiar's Inc. and we look forward to supporting them with a variety of innovative public relations projects in the future."

The International Automotive Media Conference provides a forum to recognize excellence in the automotive media community. It encourages enhanced media and public relations proficiency and strives for public recognition of the important contributions made each year by automotive media and PR members in a variety of categories including print, electronic and web-based media.
