JMPR, INC. RECEIVES GOLD PUBLIC RELATIONS/MARKETING AWARD AT INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOTIVE MEDIA CONFERENCE

Promotion of Petersen Automotive Museum's 10-Year Anniversary Gala and French Curves Exhibit Wins in Overall PR Campaign Category

Woodland Hills, Calif., (April 5, 2004) – For the third consecutive year, JMPR Public Relations, Inc. has been honored with the International Automotive Media Conference's (IAMC) Gold Award for excellence at the 2004 IAMC Awards Banquet, hosted at Sardi's in New York City. The award was presented to JMPR in the PR/Marketing Campaign Category for its successful public relations efforts promoting the 2004 Petersen Automotive Museum's French Curves: The Automobile as Sculpture exhibit and its "10-Year Anniversary Gala" charity fundraising event.

JMPR's public relations campaign for the Museum's French Curves exhibit, introduced at the Museum's annual Gala, combined with media outreach for the 10-Year Anniversary Gala (an annual event benefiting the Museum's educational programs), created a unique opportunity to promote both the Museum and the exhibit. The French Curves display outlined the history of French Art Deco custom coachwork and showcased more than $10 million worth of classic autos.

"We are so lucky to work on campaigns we really believe in and enjoy ourselves. To be recognized with the IAMC Gold PR/Marketing Award for our efforts is an unexpected honor, like icing on the cake." says Joseph Molina, president of JMPR, Inc. "We'd also like to thank Robert E. and Margie Petersen, Museum Director Dick Messer and the entire staff at the Petersen Automotive Museum for their continued support and assistance, and we look forward to supporting the Museum with a variety of innovative public relations projects in the future."

Prior to the exhibit opening, JMPR secured press from dozens of media outlets ranging from Alaska Airlines Magazine to Where Los Angeles, and the New York Times to the Los Angeles Times. In all, JMPR secured more than 130 million media impressions for the Petersen Automotive Museum's French Curves exhibit and Gala, including stories in national outlets such as AutoWeek, Forbes FYI, Robb Report, Valley Magazine, Westways, the Washington Post, and Fine Living Channel's Life in the Fast Lane.

The Museum's 10-Year Anniversary Gala, hosted by the Tonight Show's Jay Leno, attracted more than 500 guests and celebrities from baseball great Jose Canseco and actor Chris Titis to auto racing legend Dan Gurney, and raised nearly $1 million for the Museum. It was covered in media outlets including Autoworld Radio, Beverly Hills Courier, Beverly Hills 213, Car and Driver Radio, Entertainment Today, KABC-TV, KTTV-TV, Los Angeles Times, L.A Daily News, Motor Trend Radio, and the Park La Brea Press.

During the campaign, JMPR utilized author Richard Adatto, an expert on French cars, as well as the Museum's curatorial staff to provide media with a comprehensive history of autos of the French Art Deco period and their significance to the auto industry. JMPR also created special mailers and press materials drawing upon the magnificent artwork provided by photographer Jean-Paul Caron to leverage the exhibit's amazing visual imagery. In addition, a special media luncheon was held prior to the Gala that offered a sneak preview of the exhibit.

The International Automotive Media Conference provides a forum to recognize excellence in the automotive media community. It encourages enhanced media and public relations proficiency and strives for public recognition of the important contributions made each year by automotive media and PR members in a variety of categories including print, electronic and web-based media.
